7/26/19 - Orangic Hmong Dishes :O

Hello!

Today, I wanted to talk about organic Hmong dishes. When I say organic, I'm talking about fresh veggies from my mom's garden.  No added pesticides or chemicals.

These first 2 photos are my mom's edible flowers.  They are savory and a little bitter but super delicious when pan fried with salt, olive oil, and black pepper.  I do not know the English name and I have never seen it until now.  In Green-Hmong, it's "Paaj Ab," translate bitter flower.

I'm thinking nothing is wrong is trying NEW things.  I tried it, and I will definitely eat it again when my mom makes it.  It's hard to find and it is a delicacy.

Next is my mom's homemade tofu. She then pan-fried it with salt and oil.  It is savory and delicious. BTW, my mom's homemade tofu is always soft and sweet. LOVE IT.
Next to the tofu is my mom homemade fermented sour greens. Super sour and savory when eaten with rice. YUM!

Next is my mom's organic Thai chili pepper mashed with organic Thai basil.  OMG :O it is sooo good and spicy, I took it all home with me :D

Who's interested in trying? 😄
